Seagate introduces massive 10TB hard drive for desktop

Seagate has introduced Guardian Series of 10TB internal hard drives that includes BarraCuda Pro desktop drive, IronWolf and SkyHawk.

The 10TB BarraCuda Pro Hard Drive targeted at home use to help you store your content. The 3.5-inch 7200RPM storage drive doesn't offer anything out-of-the-ordinary apart for the large storage capacity. Seagate says that the drive includes power saving features to help keep drive operating costs low. It is backed by five year warranty.

The 10TB BarraCuda Pro hard drive is priced at $535 (Rs. 36,000), which would be considered priced very higher as you can buy two 5TB Seagate hard drives for around $380 (Rs. 25,000).

The Other two Gaurdian series hard drives, IronWolf offers high performance data sharing for NAS (network-attached storage) system, while SkyHawk is aimed for use in surveillance system, that requires large storage solutions for network video recording (NVR). They are priced at $470 (Rs. 31,580) and $460 (Rs. 30,900) respectively.
