Supposed HTC Nexus Sailfish build.prop leak reveals 5.2-inch display

The rumor that HTC will make two Nexus smartphones for Google this year has been around for quite sometime. These are code-named Sailfish (S1) and Marlin (M1), and possible specifications and renders of both devices have already surfaced. Now Evan Blass (@evleaks) have shared some more information of the upcoming Nexus devices.

Blass shared an image of the HTC S1 (Sailfish)'s built.prop file which highlight few details of the specification. The build.prop confirms few details we already know so far. The file indicates that Sailfish will be equipped with Snapdragon 820/821 SoC. This is known from the use of "ARM64-V8a" and "msm8996" entries in the strings of the build.prop.

The screen density value has been listed as 420, suggesting that Sailfish will have 5.2-inch 1080p display. Earlier rumors have claimed the display size to be 5-inch, but it appears that the low-end Nexus model, will retain the 5.2-inch screen, same as Nexus 5X. Lastly and not surprising, the build.prop also reveals the presence of fingerprint scanner on Sailfish with the reference to "fingerprint sensor" used several times in the strings.

To recap the leaked specs so far, the rumored specs of HTC Sailfish include 5.2-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 820/821 SoC, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 12MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 4.2 and 2770mAh battery.

The HTC Marlin will come with a bigger 5.5-inch Quad HD display and 3450mAh battery. The rest of specs will be similar to HTC Sailfish. Both will run Android 7.0 Nougat.
