Transcend SSD220S solid-state drive launched in India, starts at Rs. 2,999

Transcend has launched SSD220S high-performance solid-state drive (SSD) in India starting at Rs. 2,999. The drive is 6.8mm thick, weighs 58g, and can fit most of the modern notebook and replace the traditional HDD. They also come with 3.5" bracket for desktop installation.

The advantage of having SSD on your PC/notebook is that it offers faster app loading times, start up speeds and reduces power consumption to improve battery life.

The Transcend SSD220S offer 550Mb/s transfer speed and comes with DDR3 DRAM Cache that provides 4K random read / write speed up to 330MB/s. Its peak speeds of 550MB/s read and 450MB/s write are achieved via advanced firmware algorithms, high-quality flash chips and SLC caching technology.

For maximum readability, it features multiple built-in technologies including Error Correction, Device Sleep  mode to reduce power consumption and S.M.A.R.T. functionality to monitor SSD health conditions.

The Transcend SSD220S comes in 120GB, 240GB and 480GB capacities and are priced at Rs. 2,999, Rs. 4,790 and Rs. 9,990 respectively.
