CTL NL61TX $299 rugged Chromebook doubles as a whiteboard

Educational PC manufacturer CTL has launched two new rugged touchscreen Chromebooks dubbed NLS61TX and NL61T targeted at education sector. Both Chromebooks have the same configurations, but the NL61TX has extra rugged features.

Both Chromebooks are drop resistant, have reinforced ports, hinges and power plug to withstand classroom abuse, anti-peel keys and water resistant keyboard. However, the NL61TX comes with pressure-sensitive cover that reduces risk of damage, and also doubles as a whiteboard.

The CTL NLS61TX and NL61T Chromebooks have 1080p touchscreen display, Intel Celeron N3160 processor, 4GB RAM and 32GB eMMC storage. For connectivity there's 2 x USB 3.0 ports, SD card reader, Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11ac. The  They offer up to 14 hours of battery life.

The CTL NLS61TX and NL6IT Chromebooks are priced at $299 and $269 respectively.
