Meizu M3E with 5.5-inch display, Helio P10 SoC, metal body announced
Chinese smartphone maker Meizu has announced M3E smartphone in China. The phone sports a metal unibody design and has mTouch 2.1 fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button that can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds. It runs Alibaba's YunOS with Flyme 5.2.1 UI on top. YunOS also powers smart vehicles, IoT devices and more, which allows Meizu M3E to interact with Roewe RX5 SUV.
For photography, it gets 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF for fast focus in just 0.2 seconds, f/2.2 aperture and 5P Lens. For snapping selfies and video calling, you get 5-megapixel front snapper.
Connectivity duties are handled by hybrid dual SIM, 4G LTE w/ VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It is fueled by 3100mAh battery with support for mCharge fast charging that can charge the device up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes using a 18W charger.
The Meizu M3E is priced at CNY 1299 ($945 | Rs. 13,000) and is now up for pre-order in China, and goes on sale starting August 14. It comes in Gold, Silver, Gray, Glacial Blue and Champagne Gold colors.
