Sony PlayStation 4 Slim photo surfaces online

Sony has scheduled an event on September 7 in New York, where it will likely introduce its next gen gaming console called PlayStation 4 Neo/ 4.5 with 4K support, faster processor and improved graphics. Now it appears that Sony has one more model lined up for release as well.

Photos of a new slimmer, smaller PlayStation dubbed PlayStation Slim has surfaced online. The gaming console will be less expensive than the current $350 PlayStation 4 model, and is Sony's answer to Microsoft's $229 Xbox One S, which also has a smaller design. PlayStation 4 Slim will have a matte finish with rounded edges and will be available in 500GB capacity.

According to WSJ, Sony will unveil PlayStation 4 Slim alongside PlayStation 4 New at its September 7 event.
