Airtel introduces new international roaming packs with free incoming calls

Airtel has announced new international roaming (IR) packs which comes bundled with data benefits, free India calling minutes, free incoming call and free texts to India. The telecom operator has also reduced rated of outgoing calls to India, local calls and mobile data in the new international roaming packs as well.

The IR pack starts at Rs. 499 with one day validity, and goes up to Rs. 4,999 for 30 days validity.  In these packs, charges for calls to India, and local in-country calls have been reduced to as low as Rs. 3/min. Post the exhaustion of pack data benefits, the data will be charged at just Rs. 3/MB, a reduction of 99 percent from Rs. 650/MB.

These packs are available for U.S, Canada, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the UAE and comes with one day or 30 days validity, depending on your preference. These packs can be activated via Airtel's website, myAirtel app, and customer contact centres.

Airtel says that it plans to launch another pack with 10 days validity by middle of October 2016.
