BlackBerry Argon likely to be launched as DTEK60, specs leaked

Back in July this year, reports suggested that BlackBerry is working on a trio of Android smartphones codenamed Neon, Argon and Mercury. The Neon has already been launched as DTEK50 at $299, which is a rebranded Alacatel Idol 4s.

Now the company is gearing up to launch its third Android smartphone codenamed Argon as DTEK 60 as details of the phone has been leaked accidentally by BlackBerry. The details come directly from a page with 'donotpublish.html' extension reveals the specs of DTEK60.

The DTEK 60 (Argon) will be BlackBerry's second high-end Android phone after Priv, and will be BlackBerry's first phone to have fingerprint scanner. The phone will have 5.5-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage, microSD card slot, 21MP rear camera (w/ dual-tone LED flash, 4K video recording), 8MP front camera, Android Marshmallow, 4G LTE, USB Type-C and 3000mAh battery.

It's worth mentioning that, the leaked specs are in line with an earlier report. Unfortunately, there are no photos of DTEK60 available at the moment. But, if rumors are to be believed the DTEK60 will be a revised version of TCL 950. The phone was certified by TENAA, and the specs match to that of DTEK60. TENAA has also posted photos of TCL 950, and we can expect DTEK60 to have the same design.

Currently it is not known when BlackBerry will officially announce the DTEK60.
