Google Pixel (HTC Sailfish) leaks in render and 360 degree video
This year, HTC is reportedly making two new phones for Google codenamed Sailfish and Marlin. Recent reports have suggested that Google will drop the Nexus branding from their upcoming phones, and instead launch them as Pixel and Pixel XL. Specs, mock-up render and live photos of both devices have already surfaced online. Now Sailfish (Pixel) has leaked once again in a 360-degree video and new renders giving us a clear and closer look at the design of the phone from all angles.
According to the latest leak (OnLeaks + Android Authority), the Sailfish (Google Pixel) will have a waistline of 7.3mm and house USB Type-C port at the bottom with speaker grilles on either sides. Although not seen in the photo, the phone will have a 3.5mm headphone sitting at the top.
Also seen in the renders are antenna lines at the top and bottom of the device, and a fingerprint scanner below the rear camera. The power/lock and volume button are on the right, while the SIM card tray is on the left. Earlier reports had suggested that the Pixel phones will have metal and glass finish.
Meanwhile, David Ruddock of Android Police have revealed that the upcoming Pixel phones will have Snapdragon 821 SoC, and the 5.5-inch Pixel XL will cost $649 , although its not clear if this is the price of the 32GB or 128GB storage model.
According to earlier reports the Sailfish (Pixel) and Marlin (Pixel XL) will have 5-inch 1080p and 5.5-inch Quad HD display. They will feature 4GB RAM, 32GB/128GB, 12MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. The Sailfish (Pixel) will have a 2770mAh battery, while the Marlin (Pixel XL) will pack 3450mAh battery. They will run the latest version of Android Nougat that is v7.1.
Google is expected to unveil the Pixel phones on October 4, along with new products.
