Google Pixel Press Renders Get Leaked, Show New Navigation Bar Buttons, Circular Icons
Exactly one week ahead of the unveiling of the Pixel devices, press renders of the Google Pixel have been leaked. The leaked images show the Pixel launcher in action along with the new navigation bar buttons.
Even when Nougat 7.0 was released on August 22, we had speculated the absence of the navigation bar with it's flowery home button and solid filled back and recents button. Just in case you have forgotten about that navigation bar, take a quick look below:
The image shown above dates back to June. However, the only difference between June's renders and today's press leak photo is the change in the design of the home navigation bar button.
The home button has changed from a solid circle with a flowery band around it to a solid circle outlined by a circle of larger radius. Or, the home button might take up it's flowery form when Google Now On Tap (or maybe Google Assistant!) are accessed on the Pixel smartphones.
Another thing that also pops out of this leak is the presence of circular style icons. Did you catch that? Take a look at the press render once again. Android Police had done a APK Teardown of the Pixel Launcher APK, where signs of existence of circular icons were discovered.
