Oppo A59s with 4GB RAM, 16MP front camera gets certified by TENAA

Back in June this year, Oppo introduced the A59 smartphone. Now the company will be launching a refreshed model dubbed A59s soon, as the phone has been certified by China's TENAA. By comparison to A59, the A59s comes with more RAM and improved front facing camera.

According to TENAA, the Oppo A59s will have 5.5-inch 720p IPS 2.5D curved display, 1.5GHz octa-core processor, 4GB RAM (vs. 3GB RAM on A59), 32GB inbuilt storage (with microSD card support), 13MP rear camera (w/ LED flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture), 16MP front camera (vs. 8MP on A59), 4G VoLTE and 2980mAh battery.

The phone will run the dated Android 5.1 Lollipop and Hybrid dual SIM slots, which means the second SIM slot can be used either as SIM slot or microSD card slot. Similar to A59, the A59s will sport a metal unibody design and fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button.

An official announcement can be expected soon.
