Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime with 5.5-inch display, 3GB RAM, fingerprint scanner announced


Samsung has expanded its Galaxy J series with the launch of Galaxy J7 Prime in Vietnam. The phone a variant of the Galaxy J7 with a new metal design instead of plastic giving it a premium look and has a better screen resolution, double RAM & storage and an improved selfie camera. It also gets a fingerprint scanner, which was not present in Galaxy J7.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime features 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and is powered by 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7890 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. It runs Android Marshmallow.

It is equipped with 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and 8-megapixel selfie shooter with LED flash as well. For connectivity there's dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and GPS support. It is fueled by 3300mAh battery.

The Galaxy J7 Prime is priced at VND 6,290,000 ($280 | Rs. 19,000), and is expected to launch in other markets in the near future.
