Sony PlayStation 4 Pro with 4K HDR capabilities, PlayStation 4 Slim goes official
Sony has officially unveiled the PS4 Pro and a slimmer version of current PS4, the PS4 Slim at an event in New York City.
The PS4 Pro is basically an upgraded and more powerful PS4 that supports 4K and HDR (high dynamic range). With 4K, users can enjoy graphics at a much higher resolution, while with HDR support, the visual will look much closer. Depending on the game, users can even select the kind of graphics they want whether 1080p or 4K resolutions. However, it won't play 4K Blu-ray discs. Moreover, Netflix and YouTube are launching revamped apps to take advantage of the 4K capabilities of the PS4 Pro.
The new console has a large 1TB HDD and gets an faster CPU and GPU. All the current PS4 games will run on PS4 Pro as well. Sony said that old PS4 model will get HDR support in a new firmware update next week.

Moving on to the PS4 Slim, it features the same processing power found on the original PS4. However, the new console is is 30 percent smaller and 16 percent lighter in weight compared to the PS4. Power consumption has also been reduced by 28 percent.

The PS4 Pro is priced at $399 (Rs. 27,000) and will be available from November 10, while the PS4 Slim will cost $299 (Rs. 20,000) and will be available on September 15.
