The Coolpad Note 5 at Rs. 10,999 is the most affordable smartphone with 4GB RAM in India
China's Coolpad has launched a new smartphone in India dubbed Note 5. It is the successor to Note 3 lineup and sports a full metal unibody design, fingerprint scanner at the back, and runs Android Marshmallow with Cool UI 8.0 on top. The fingerprint scanner can also be configured to make, receive and record calls, open apps and take snaps.
The Coolpad Note 5 features 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) scratch resistant display, and octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 4GB RAM. It has 32GB on-board storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.
For photography, it gets 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 1080p, video recording. On the front it has 8MP 80.1 wide-angle selfie camera accompanied by LED flash. In terms of connectivity, it offers 4G with VoLTE support, hybrid dual-SIM slot, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and GPS.
It is fueled by a beefy 4,010mAh battery, which is rated to deliver 14 hours of talk time and 350 hours standby time. It also supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge technology to fuel up the battery faster.
The handset also boasts software features that was offered by Coolpad Max, such as Dual Space system, which lets you have to accound for WhatsApp, Facebok or any other social media apps on the same device. There's also Multi Screen mode, which lets you run two apps simultaneously on the same screen.
The Coolpad Note 5 is priced at Rs. 10,999 and will be available exclusively from Amazon India in Noble Black and Champagne Gold colors. At this price, it is the most affordable smartphone in the country with 4GB RAM. It's worth mentioning that, Coolpad Note 3 was also launched as the most affordable 3GB RAM phone in the country as well.
