Xiaomi confirms dual rear cameras for Mi 5S, possible pricing leaked
Xiaomi has scheduled an event on September 27 in China to unveil a new smartphone. For weeks, reports have suggested that it is Mi 5s, but now Xiaomi has reportedly confirmed the phone will not be called Mi 5s, instead will be Mi Note S, according to new rumors, so at this point it is not clear what the phone will be actually called. However, until the official unveiling we will refer the phone as Mi 5s.
Yesterday Xiaomi released a teaser boasting the benchmark score of Mi 5s, which at 1,64,119 points beats LeEco's new launched Snapdragon 821 powered LeEco Le Pro 3's score.
Now the company has released a second teaser confirming one of the most rumored feature – its dual camera setup. The latest teaser shows two rear cameras placed on top of each other vertically, similar to the Redmi Pro. For reference, the Remi Pro packed 13MP and 5MP dual rear cameras. Rumors point that Mi 5S will pack 16MP+5MP dual rear camers.
Apart from the new teaser, two posters, have leaked online allegedly revealing the price of Mi 5s. If the price mentioned in the posters are true, the Mi 5s w/ Snapdragon 821 SoC, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will be priced CNY 1999 ($299 | Rs. 20,000) and the Mi 5s Plus w/ Snapdragon 821 SoC, 6GB RAM and 256GB storage will cost CNY 2999 ($449 | Rs. 30,000). The Mi 5s Plus is rumored to flaunt a 5.7-inch QHD display. There's no way to confirm the authenticity of these posters, so do take it with a pinch of salt.
As for the other specs, the Mi 5s is rumored to feature 5.15-inch 1080p pressure-sensitive 3D touch display, Snapdragon 821 SoC, Qualcomm's under glass ultrasonic fingerprint sensors, NFC, 3490mAh battery, and Android Marshmallow based MIUI.
