Apple Watch Series 1, Watch Series 2 are up for pre-order on Flipkart

Apple's new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will go on sale in India today (Friday) at 7pm, but before that is about to happen, the company via Flipkart has also started accepting pre-orders for Apple Watch Series 1 and Watch Series 2 smartwatches.

The Apple Watch Series 1 and Watch Series 2 also go on sale today alongside the new iPhones via Apple authorized re-sellers stores across the country, but Flipkart will start shipping the pre-orders from October 13.

Apple's Watch Series 2 brings major upgrades, when compared to older models, while the Watch Series 1 is rebranded first-gen Apple Watch and gets a few upgrades.

The Apple Watch Series 2 is waterproof (up to 50 meters), has built-in GPS to track activities, S2 dual-core processor (50 percent faster; 2x graphic performance than predecessor) and the display is 2x brighter at 1000 nits, for better readability under sunlight. The Watch Series 2 comes in two sizes – 38mm and 42mm in several hues with different straps. Here is the break down of the Indian pricing for various versions:

Flipkart has not yet listed Apple Watch Nike+ and the most premium ceramic edition of Watch Series 2, which has been priced at Rs. 23,900 and Rs. 1,10,900 respectively.

The Watch Series 1 comes with the new faster dual-core S2 chip, while the rest of the specs are similar to the original Apple Watch.
