BlackBerry launches DTEK60 for $499

BlackBerry has finally taken wraps of its latest Android smartphone called DTEK60. It is the follow-up to the DTEK announced back in July.

Just like DTEK50, the DTEK60 is manufactured by TCL, but comes with BlackBerry's proprietary security features such as secure bootloader, Hardware Root of Trust, DTEK app, and quick updates for security patches. It also includes BlackBerry’s productive app suite such as the Hub, Calendar, and keyboard.

Unlike DTEK50, which was a mid-ranger, the DTEK60 is high-end phone rocking 5.5-inch Quad HD display, Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage and 3000mAh battery.

The camera department is handled by a 21MP PDAF main camera with LED flash and 8MP front camera. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type-C. It also supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology and comes with fingerprint scanner and customizable side button.

The BlackBerry DTEK 60 is now available in U.S, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Netherlands from ShopBlackBerry.com for $499 (approx. Rs. 33,298).
