GOLE2 mini PC with 5MP wide-angle camera announced


The GOLE1 was a pocket-sized mini PC with 5-inch touchscreen display on top to give it a tablet like functionality. Now the company has launched a new less interesting model, the GOLE2, which does not include a display and looks like a normal mini desktop PC.

The GOLE 2 is offered in two OS versions: Android based Phoenix OS and Windows 10. The Windows version will have Atom x5-Z8350 Cherry Trail processor and 4GB RAM, while the Android model  and will have an Allwinner 64 processor and 2GB RAM. For those unaware, Phoenix OS is a custom version of Android designed to work on a PC, just like Remix OS.



Both models feature 32GB eMMC storage, 5MP 1080p 90-degree wide-angles camera, HDMI 1.4 ports, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, 10/100 Ethernet, mic headphone jack, speaker and LED light. A 2600mAh battery will keep the lights on when unplugged from a wall jack.

There's also room for a 2.5-inch HDD to add extra storage (up to 1TB supported), and microSD card reader. The Windows model will also have a USB 3.0 port.

The GOLE2 comes with in an aluminum housing that measures 151.24 x 57.56 x 142.7 mm and has a smart clip cover for camera to protect your security when you don't use it.

Similar to its predecessor, the GOLE2 can be connected to a TV or a monitor via HHDMI port and can be used for playing games, video conferencing, presentation, watching videos from streaming services and more.

The GOLE2 is up for grabs through Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign and early birds can grab the mini PC starting at $69 (goes up to $99) for the Android (Phoenix OS) model and $114 (goes up to $144) for the Windows model. Shipping is planned for December 2016.
