Google announces Chromecast Ultra with 4K and HDR support for $69

Google has officially introduced the Chromecast Ultra, with 4K Ultra HD and HDR (High Dynamic Range) support. It is also faster than earlier Chromecasts and has better WiFi 802.11ac support promising 1.8 faster video streaming. The Chromecast Ultra is also quite compact and sports the same circular design as previous models.

Apart from WiFI 802.11ac, it also has Ethernet port, which is built into the power adapter, for a more stable internet connection. It also comes with the usual HDMI connector to connect to TV.

Chromecast Ultra supports 4K video streaming from services like YouTube, Netflix and Vudu. Google will also bring 4K support to Play Movies & TV in November. If you're TV is not 4K ready, the streaming device will automatically optimize it for best experience.

Google Chromecast Ultra is priced at $69 (Rs. 4,600) and will be available in November from Google Store, Best Buy, Target and Walmart in the U.S. It will also be available in 15 more countries, however it is not known if India is included in the list.
