Honor 8 India launch set for October 12

Huawei sub-brand Honor 8 has scheduled an event in India on October 12 for the launch of Honor 8 smartphone. It was announced back in July in China and is a mid-range smartphone with premium glass backed design and powerful specs.

The Honor 8 comes with two 12MP rear cameras and 8MP front camera. Running on EMUI based Android Marshmallow the handset features 5.2-inch 1080p display and is powered by Huawei's Kirin 950 processor. It has 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, NFC, USB Type-C, fingerprint scanner and 3000mAh battery.

The Honor 8 was launched in the U.S last month for a price tag of $399, which is around INR 27,000, and we can expect it to cost closer to that price. The Honor 8 will receive stiff competition from OnePlus 3, LeEco's Le Max 2 and Xiaomi's Mi 5 in the country.
