HTC Bolt live photos and specs surfaces
After leaking in press renders, HTC's upcoming smartphone Bolt has now surfaced in couple of live photos, showing the handset from all angles.
Following the footstep of LeEco (Le 2, Le 2 Pro, Le Max 2, Le Pro 3), Motorola (Moto Z) and Apple (iPhone 7/7Plus), HTC will also ditch the headphone jack in favor of audio via USB Type-C. The handset is expected to offer BoomSound audio-enhancing technology, only when listening with headphones.
The HTC Bolt design will be similar to HTC 10, with a few tweaks here and there. Just like HTC 10, Bolt will have an all-metal unibody build with chamfered edges and antenna lines giving it a premium look.
The fingerprint scanner will be baked into the home button, while the backlit navigation keys will be on either side. The volume rocker and power button are on the right, while the SIM tray and microSD card slot are on the left. At the bottom, there's a single-firing speaker, microphone and a USB Type-C port.
The main difference is in the camera and rear flash module position. The front camera unit on Bolt is on the left side of the earpiece, while the rear flash module accompanying the main camera is positioned above the upper antenna line.
Even though HTC Bolt will flaunt premium looks, it will be a mid-range offering with mid-range specs just like Desire 10 LifeStyle and Desire 10 Pro announced last month and will reportedly be exclusive to U.S carrier Sprint.
As far as specs are concerned, the HTC Bolt is expected to run Android 7.0 Nougat with Sense 8.0 UI and feature 5.5-inch Full HD display, 3GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. For photography, it is expected to have 18MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and 4K video recording, and the front facing camera will be an 8MP unit.
Rest of the specs and an official announcement date is still not known.
