Is This The End Of The Nexus Brand?
Google might have drawn curtains to the Nexus brand. A tweet from Google Nexus' twitter handle suggested the same.
As Nexus users, you’ve played an integral role in this journey for Google. We’re excited about Pixel, and want you to know that (1/2)— Nexus (@googlenexus) October 4, 2016
We’ll continue to support Nexus (customer support, software updates, etc.) & @googlenexus will continue to be a place for Nexus convos (2/2) https://t.co/BhgVcH1P56

The two tweets seem to summarise that there will be no new Nexus smartphone, however the existing Nexus smartphones will continue to be supported in terms of updates and customer support.
Google has moved on from the Nexus brand to the Pixel brand, with the latter being launched today in an event in San Francisco. It's been six years since the first Nexus phone, the Nexus One, was launched by HTC in 2010.
The LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P were the last smartphones from the Nexus series which were launched in 2015. The 2015 Nexus devices will be continued to be supported by Google till 2017, when the two year support period for these devices ends.
Sadly though, the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P were removed from the Google Store too. At the moment, there are no Nexus branded devices in the Google Store. Is this end of an era?
