OnePlus Goes 'Beta' for OxygenOS
Your loved company is getting more and more approachable with updates, OnePlus team seems to be working hard at software stage as the company has introduced Beta program for Oxygen OS which primarily consists Community Builds.
OnePlus with this Beta program is trying to give out insights about how these builds affect the OS. To be frank the company has done great job explaining the strategy they want to follow. The understanding goes with the "STREAMS" and we are here to make it simpler for you.
Streams are a combined group of 3 main categories -
- Closed Beta
- Open Beta
- Official Release
Closed Beta
Closed Beta is a limited stream to which around 60 members of the community will receive updates which can be 4 per month. Being a limited one, there will be no signups. Members who get these updates will be able to get the hands on the new feature and code changes. So, people receiving this build should be ready for bugs.
Open Beta
Open Beta can be understood as an expanded form of Closed beta but with less updates over the course of a month which goes like 2 updates per month. Good thing here is that these builds will be refined which mean minimal bugs or no bugs and anyone can get this update. But remember that ultimately Beta is Beta which means the stable release will still not be in your hands with Open stream.
Official Release
Official release is not a thing to be introduced as it can simply be called the Official and stable OTA updates. These updates will be available to OnePlus owners every one to two months. Company will still be in touch with the users to get any feedback for bugs or any flaws.
Its a sure shot great move by the company as software is a thing that need to be stressed upon and OnePlus is doing that in a right way. Tell us your opinions about this in the comments section below.
