Samsung Chromebook Pro with 12.3-inch touchscreen, Pen support announced
Samsung has unveiled Chromebook Pro, its latest premium Chromebook with metal body in home market Korea. The main highlight of the Chromebook is that it has stylus support and comes with a Galaxy Note like stylus to take notes, paint, doodle and more. Samsung is calling the stylus just Pen, instead of S Pen and says it provides "true-to-life, natural PEN experience."
The ChromeBook Pro features 12.3-inch touchscreen display bearing a resolution of 2400 x 1600 pixels with 234 ppi and has 360-degree hinge that lets you use the Chromebook as a tablet when the screen is folded back.
Under the hood you will find a 2GHz unspecified hexa-core ARMv8 processor ( 2 x ARM Cortex A72 CPU cores and 4 x Cortex A53 CPU cores), 4GB RAM, 32GB eMMC storage, microSD card slot and 2 x USB Type-C ports.
The Chromebook supports WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1 for wireless connectivity. It runs Chrome OS and should support Play Store and Android apps The built-in non-removable battery is rated to offer up to 10 hours of usage time on a single charge.
The Samsung Chromebook Pro is priced at $499 (Rs. 33,290) and is up for pre-order from Adorama. Shipping is expected to begin later this month.
