The Galaxy C9 Pro is Samsung's first smartphone with 6GB RAM
Samsung has launched the Galaxy C9 Pro, its first smartphone to pack 6GB RAM. But surprisingly, it's not Samsung's flagship product, instead it's a mid-ranger phablet boasting premium design targeted at the Chinese market.
The Galaxy C9 Pro will go on sale in China from November 11 for CNY 3199 (approx. 31,670). It is already up for pre-order.
The phone has an aerospace-grade aluminum unibody design and a new antenna design (divided into three lines) and features a fingerprint sensor embedded into the Home button.
The Galaxy C9 Pro features a phablet-grade 6-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display and fitted with Snapdragon 653 processor, 64GB storage and microSD card slot for storage expansion. There's 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and phase detection auto-focus (PDAF) and 16MP front camera.
It supports dual-SIMs, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS and USB Type-C port. A 4000mAh battery keeps the lights on that supports quick charging.
The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro runs Android Marshmallow 6.0 and will be available in Gold and Rose Gold colors.
