This exclusive screenshot comes from a famous WhatsApp Twitter handle WABetaInfo who shared this screenshot today which contains the video call button right along with the voice call button. This feature has been enabled by default in this version for windows phone users. It's strange that iOS and Android versions have been kept away from video calls, but that is not too far. Future beta updates are slated to bring Video Calls to iOS and Android too.
WhatsApp team is leaving no stone unturned to make this app a single stop for everything, this can be seen from the recent features added like
- GIF Support (Major Change)
- Emoji Changes
- Voicemail (Major Change)
- Group Mentions
- Drawing and Adding Texts on Images and Videos before you send them (Major Change)
- Shareable Group Invite Links (Major Change)
Now, for Video Calls, According to WABetaInfo, All strings for Video Calls has been completed by the team and this feature can be enabled in the near future update for all platforms but seems like Windows phone users are the lucky ones to get their hands on this first.
