CyanogenMod 14.1 Based On Android 7.1 Starts Rolling Out

Around 4 days ago, we had told you in this article that CM 14.1 is available for the OnePlus 3 in the form of an 'Experimental Build' and that more devices are on the way to join this club. Well, wait no more because its happening! CyanogenMod, the one thing that Android users love is back at it again. With CM 14.1 based on 7.1 Nougat coming out one by one today for various devices, it's another reason to be rejoiced as the official support from Google takes a bit more time to rollout and in the meantime CM is rolling it out to various devices. However, being a bit slow these days CM is a sureshot thing to get the hands on to the newest iteration of Android.

We have got a list of the supported devices that will be getting the official CM 14.1 nightlies:

  • Nexus 6P
  • Nexus 5X
  • Xiaomi Mi3/Mi4
  • LG G3
  • Moto G variants
  • LG G4
  • Samsung Galaxy S5
  • OnePlus 3
  • ASUS ZenFone 2
If your device is not listed here, don't worry the team is slated to expand the support to more and more devices in the near future. Not to mention the listed devices need an unlocked bootloader to taste this new custom rom based on Nougat 7.1

The iteration being a fresh one is subject to some bugs though and to our knowledge some features might not be available for now like Themes. All these things that you need will be provided in further frequent updates.

Currently CM 14.1 files are up on this page.
