Hello Instagram, Meet Android!

After powering more than 80% of the smartphones across the globe, Android has now powered it's way into Instagram as well.

The current display picture of Android on Instagram is pretty much similar to the GIF image above. It shows the Android logo tearing it's way into a coloured paper and then waving a salutation to the viewers with one of it's hands holding a Nexus 6P. Considering the fact that Google has now launched it's own brand of Pixel devices, we were definitely expecting a Pixel device in that hand. Interestingly, the colours of the paper Android tears it's way through are definitely inspired the colours the Instagram logo flaunts.

On the day of it's debut, the official account of Android had had six images which when viewed in the above screenshot look more like a well thought collage, rather than six different images. Jellybeans, Lollipops, Marshmallows and Nougats are spread all over the collage. We guess Google missed a KitKat there! Cues of Android powered devices such as phones, watches and tablets are present as well. Logos of Google's Android apps and Android services including Android Pay are included in there as well.

On a whole, all the images in the collage commemorate the Instagram bio of Android very well. The bio reads: "A grid of sweet treats and #AndroidAdventures".
