Huawei announces FIT activity tracker
Alongside the Mate 9 and the Porsche Design Mate 9 smartphones, Huawei also unveiled a new fitness tracker/watch hybrid called the FIT. It is basically the Honor Watch S1, which was unveiled in China last month, so FIT appears to be the international version of Watch S1.
The Huawei FIT comes with fitness tracking capabilities such as continuous heart rate monitoring, step counting, calories burned, sleep tracking and support for multi-sport activities such as walking, running cycling, treadmill and swimming. It also offers real-time coaching and training score. The data collected is fed into a companion app called Huawei Fit over Bluetooth.
Huawei Fit sports a durable 11.2mm thick aluminum body with IP68/5ATM rating making it water-proof and features 1.04-inch LCD black and white always-on touch-enabled display. It is compatible with Android and iOS devices and provides notifications for incoming calls, message and reminders as well when connected to smartphones.
The wearable is fueled by 80mAh battery, which promises six days of normal use and 30 days of standby time. It also includes 6-axis (accelerometer + gyro) sensor, CAP-sensor and ambient light sensor on-board as well.
The Huawei Fit is priced at 149 Euros (Rs. 11,000) and will be available in France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal and the U.S ($130). The aluminum body of the accessory comes in Titanium Grey and Moonlight Silver color, while the straps are available in orange, blue and black colors.
