Huawei unveils Mate 9 and Mate 9 Porsche Design with Leica dual-cam
Huawei on Thursday finally unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Mate 9 along with a special edition Mate 9 Porsche Design. Both smartphones sport Leica-engineered dual-rear cameras, similar to the P9.
The Huawei Mate 9 and its Porsche Design Edition come with octa-core Kirin 960 processor, 20MP + 12MP rear cameras, 8MP front camera, hybrid dual-SIM slots, 4G VoLTE support and USB Type-C port for charging. They run Android 7.0 Nougat with with EMUI 5.0 on top and pack 4000mah battery.
The Huawei Mate 9 features 5.9-inch Full HD display, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The fingerprint sensor is located at the back.
The Mate 9 Porsche Design on the other hand is a more premium looking and higher specced variant. It has dual-edge curved display like what we see in Samsung's Galaxy S7 edge and features a smaller 5.5-inch display but with 2K resolution, 6GB RAM and 256GB storage. The fingerprint sensor has been moved to the front, built into the home button.

Price & Availability
The Huawei Mate 9 carries a price tag of 699 Euros (approx. Rs. 51,750 and will be available in six colors: Black, Space Gray, Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Mocha Brown and Ceramic White. It will be rolled out in China, Germany, Italy, France, Kuwait, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Thailand and the UAE.
The Mate 9 Porsche Design is priced at 1395 Euros (approx. Rs. 103,279) and will be available in the European Porsche Design Stores starting late December. It will also be available in January 2017 at Porsche Design Stores worldwide (except USA), and select Huawei retail stores in Asia, Middle East, and Europe.
