LeEco and Coolpad to collaborate on a new 'Cool' smartphone
Chinese device makers LeEco and Coolpad worked together to the Cool1 Dual smartphone, which was unveiled in China in August this year boasting dual rear cameras. Both companies partnered after Jia Yueting, CEO of LeEco, took over as Coolpad’s Chairman in August.
The Cool1 Dual was a mid-range smartphone starting at CNY 1099 or $166 or Rs. 11,000. Now it looks like both companies are teaming up once again, but this for a flagship device with high-end specs.
The new phone called Cool received TENAA certification, and as usual the whole spec sheet and product shots of the device was posted on the website.
As per the listing, Cool will have a 5.5-inch Full HD display and powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 processor with 4GB/6GB RAM alongside 32GB/64GB/128GB internal storage. The RAM and storage combinations are unknown. It will feature 16MP rear camera and 8MP front camera, pack 4000mAh battery, and run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The new Cool smartphone has a design similar to LeEco's Le Pro 3, but instead of brush finish metal, the Cool's rear side looks clean and comes in Gold, White, Silver, Blue and Black colors.
Currently the launch data is not known, but since TENAA has given green signal, it can be expected soon.
