Lenovo Miix 520 2-in-1 tablet with 12.3-inch display, Kaby Lake CPU, dual cameras leaked

Lenovo launched the Miix 510 2-in-1 tablet back in September at IFA 2017, the company's answer to Microsoft's Surface Pro 3 tablet. It had 12.2-inch display, detachable keyboard, digital stylus and Intel Skylake-U processor.

Now it looks like Lenovo is working on its successor called Miix 520, and will be a competitor to Microsoft's upcoming Surface Pro 4 tablet. Specs and renders of the tablet have been leaked, giving us a an early look at the device.

Similar to Miix 510, the Miix 520 will come with watchband hinge, keyboard cover, and active stylus, but will have a slightly bigger 12.3-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels screen resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass, and active digitizer with support for Wacom pen that supports 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity.

The 2-in-1 tablet will utilize Intel's latest Kaby Lake processor with the option of Core i7-7500U, Core i5-7200U and Core i3 7100U, along with a Skylake model with Core i3-6006U processor, with up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB SSD storage.

Other features include 41 Wh battery (up to 10 hours battery life), 2 x USB Type-C ports, a full sized USB 3.0 port, 8MP + 2MP dual rear cameras (for augmented reality applications), 5MP front camera and a microSD card reader. It will feature a passive cooling system instead of the noisy fan to keep the operation silent.

The launch date is unknown at the moment, but the Miix 520 will most likely be unveiled at CES 2017, Las Vegas in January.
