LYF Water 1 phone reportedly explodes, company is investigating
The list of smartphone explosions seems to be growing by the day. After Galaxy Note7 fiasco, a lot of instances have been reported on battery explosion.
The latest victim is the user of Reliance LYF smartphone, which was reportedly exploded when in use. Tanvir Sadiq, who describes himself as Political Secretary to the working president of Jammu and Kashmir on his twitter handle claimed that his LYF smartphone "exploded and burst into flames".
Sadiq did not reveal which LYF smartphone he was using, but the images tweeted by him indicates that it was LYF Water 1. Reliance LYF team has reached out to Tanvir, after their attention was drawn towards the incident.
Meanwhile, Reliance’s LYF has also issued an official statement saying "LYF range of phones are designed and manufactured with global standards by some of the world’s leading manufacturers of mobile phones… We are concerned about the incident reported in social media and are taking the matter seriously. We are assessing the cause and will conduct a thorough investigation into the matter."
This is not the first time a incident regarding LYF Water 1 has been reported. Back in September a user claimed that his Water 1 smartphone exploded in his hand while he was browsing Facebook.
