Meizu M5 with 3GB RAM, fingerprint scanner announced
Meizu has announced a new budget smartphone in China called M5 with appealing specs sheet and reasonable price tag.
The Meizu M5 is priced at CNY 699 (approx. Rs. 7,000) for the base 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant, and CNY 899 (approx. Rs. 9,000) for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage model.
The features include 5.2-inch HD display with 2.5D curved glass and is fitted with MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor paired with Mali T860 storage. As mentioned earlier it comes with up to 3GB RAM and up to 32GB storage, which is expandable via microSD card slot up to 128GB.
In the camera department, there's 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, phase detection auto-focus and f/2.2 aperture 5P Lens. At the front there is a 5MP camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Connectivity options include hybrid dual-SIM slots, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/A-GPS. It runs Yun OS based on Android with Flyme OS 5.5 UI on top and is fueled by a 3070mAh battery which is claimed to deliver 66 hours of music playback. There's also a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button, which promises to unlock the device in under 0.2 seconds.
The Meizu M5 will be available in Mint Green, Glacier White, Champagne Gold, Sapphire Blue and Matte Black colors. It will go on sale in China this month.
