Meizu Pro 6 Plus with 5.7-inch QHD display, Exynos 8890 SoC gets official
Meizu has introduced a Plus model of its flagship Pro 6 called the Pro 6 Plus in home market of China. Just like the Pro 6, the Pro 6 Plus sprots metal unibody design and mTouch 2.1 fingerprint sensor built into the home button. Additionally it also includes a heart rate sensor, which is also baked into the home button. The phone also uses a Samsung chip instead of MediaTek found on Pro 6, and gets major upgrades as well in other specs department.
The Meizu Pro 6 Plus features 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 3D press, which is Meizu's version of Apple's Force Touch, that perceives different levels of pressure on the screen. The screen is protected by a layer of Corning's Gorilla Glass 4.
Under the hood you will find an 2GHz/2.3GHz octa-core Exynos 8890 processor coupled with Mali T880 MP10 GPU. This is the same chip found on Samsung's Galaxy S7/S7 edge and Galaxy Note 7. It packs 4GB RAM and will be available with either 64GB or 128GB storage option.
For photography, it gets 12MP Sony IMX386 camera in the back with dual-tone 10-LED flash ring, pixel size of 1.25μm, four-axis OIS, PDAF and laser auto-focus. For selfies and video calling you get 5MP front camera.
It runs Android Marshmallow based Flyme OS and supports dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, infrared sensor and USB Type-C for connectivity.
Giving the Pro 6 fuel to run is a 3400mAh battery that is backed by mCharge 3.0.24W fast charging technology, that lets you charge the phone up to 60 percent in just 30 minutes.
The Meizu Pro 6 Plus is priced at CNY 2999 ($435 | Rs. 30,000) for the 64GB version (2GHz Exynos 8890 SoC), and CNY 3299 ($479 | Rs. 33,000) for the 128GB storage variant (2.3GHz Exynos 8890 SoC). It will go on sale in China from December 23 in Champagne Gold, Sky Grey and Moonlight Silver colors.
