OnePlus 3T is official with faster processor and bigger battery
OnePlus's popular 2016 flagship killer has got a souped version in the form of OnePlus 3 with improved performance, bigger battery and a new selfie camera.
The OnePlus 3T looks just like the OnePlus 3, but has a slightly faster Snapdragon 821 processor and a bigger 3400mAh battery, as opposed to Snapdragon 820 and 3000mAh battery found on OnePlus 3.
Other changes include a 16MP front camera (vs. 8MP), new storage variant of 128GB (along with 64GB version) and a new Gunmetal color (replaces Graphite), which joins the soft gold color. Apart from these changes the rest of the specification are identical to OnePlus 3.
Like the OnePlus 3, the OnePlus 3T has the same 5.5-inch Full HD Optic AMOLED display, 6GB RAM, USB Type-C port, USB Type-C port, Dash Charge support, dual-SIM slots and retains the 64GB storage model.
Prior to the launch, it was rumored that OnePlus 3T will ship with Android Nougat, but you will be disappointed, as the phone still runs Oxygen OS based Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with few tweaks for improved performance. However, OnePlus has promised Nougat update by the end of this year.
With the bumps in spec department, the OnePlus 3T gets a price jump too by $40. The 64GB OnePlus 3T is priced at $439 (approx. Rs. 29,782), while the 128GB version costs $479 (approx. Rs. 32,445). It will initially release in U.S and Canada on November 22 (gunmetal color version only), followed by global release on November 28. OnePlus hasn't announced pricing or availability for India as yet.
