OnePlus 3T launch date set for November 15

A day after Qualcomm confirmed new Snapdragon 821 powered OnePlus smartphone, One Plus has announced that its upcoming phone will be launched on November 15. OnePlus' new phone will be reportedly called OnePlus 3T or OnePlus 3 Turbo, an is an upgraded model on OnePlus 3.

The company also revealed that the Snadragon 821 SoC powering OnePlus 3T will have a clock speed of 2.35GHz, offering 10 percent better performance compared to Snapdragon 820 SoC, that's clocked at 2.15GHz.

The new chip also supports Google's DayDream platform for VR support as well as dual-phase detection, which improves auto-focus speed compared to the standard PDAF.

Apart from Snapdragon 821 processor, the OnePlus 3T/ 3 Turbo is expected to run Android Nougat based Oxygen OS and feature 5.5-inch Full HD display, 6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage, 16MP Sony IMX398 rear camera, 8MP front camera, 4G, VoLTE, USB Type-C and 3300mAh battery. The phone design will be similar to OnePlus 3.

If rumors are to be believed, the OnePlus 3T will be priced at $479 (Rs. 32,000), $80 (Rs. 5,000) more than the OnePlus 3.
