Samsung Galaxy S7 edge gets new Blue Coral color option

The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge was available in Black Onyx, Gold Platinum, White Pearl and Silver Platinum, since its launch back in February. The company also introduced a Pink Gold color version in select markets. Now it has announced a new Blue Coral color variant of the Galaxy S7 edge.

The Blue Coral Galaxy S7 edge 32GB will be available in Singapore and Taiwan priced at SG$ 1098 and NT$ 24,900 respectively ($790) this November. It will also be available through major U.S carriers and select market around the globe as well. The specific availability details will be announced by wireless providers and regional Samsung offices.

About the new Blue Coral color, Samsung says that it follows this year's color trends, which are less vivid and more tranquil. Inspired by nature, the color shimmers as if it is illuminated from the inside of the phone’s glass surface. In addition, Samsung has also applied a contrasting gold tone hue to the phone’s metallic frame resulting in an alluring two-tone combination. Apart from the new color option, the specs remain unchanged.

To refresh, the Galaxy S7 edge's core specs include 5.5-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, up to 256GB storage, microSD card slot, 12MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, fingerprint scanner, IP68 certification for water and dust resistance and 3660mAh battery.

It's worth mentioning that the Blue Coral color option was previously exclusive to the discontinued Galaxy Note 7. It appears that the company is now focusing on Galaxy S7 edge by bringing these features to the device. The Galaxy S7 edge also received Galaxy Note7's always-on display feature, along with few other features as well.
