Samsung Galaxy S8 to reportedly have 6GB RAM and 256GB storage
With 2017 soon approaching, a lot of rumors have been popping about Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S8 flagship. According to the latest rumor coming out of China the Galaxy S8 will feature 6GB RAM and 256GB storage.
However, the rumor fails to mention if 256GB is the standard or larger storage option of Galaxy S8. The current generation Galaxy S7/S7 edge come in 32GB/64GB storage version. But, with Apple's iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus being offered with 256GB storage options, it seems natural for Samsung to offer the same storage option.
Samsung has already confirmed that Galaxy S8 will come with a completely new design, improved camera and built in artificial intelligence assistant, that will function much like Microsoft's Cortana, Apple's Siri, Amazon's Alexa and Google's Assistant. Samsung will reportedly integrate two AI assistant into Galaxy S8, a male and female likely to be called Bixby and Kestra respectively.
It is safe to assume that Galaxy S8 will be powered by Snapdragon 835 processor and come with a fingerprint scanner, iris scanner, Quick Charge 4.0 and run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. There could be another variant of Galaxy S8 for Asia continent, which will use home-grown Exynos chip.
Other rumored features are 5.1-inch 2K display/ 5.5-inch 4K display (both models will have dual-curved edges) with 3D touch display, which is expected to replace the capacitive keys and physical home button, dual-rear cameras.
Samsung is expected to officially announce the Galaxy S8 at MWC 2017 in February, and make it available in markets early March.
