Samsung W2017 flip phone with dual 4.2-inch displays, Snapdragon 820 SoC announced
Samsung has finally announced the W2017, its latest high end flip phone. It is the successor of W2016, and offer top notch specs just like Galaxy S7/S7 edge and two touch enabled displays, one on the outside and one on the inside.
The Samsung W2017 features a 4.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED Always on touch screen display and is powered by Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 256GB).
There's 12MP camera on the back with LED flash, f/1.7 aperture and 4K video recording, while in the front there's a 5MP shooter for selfies. Connectivity options include hybrid dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS. It is fueled by 2300mAh battery and ships with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The flip phone supports fast charging and wireless charging. It also include a fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor, which are located at the back.
The Samsung W2017 comes in Black and Gold colors. It will be initially release in China, and it's unclear whether the flip phone will be available in other markets. Samsung is yet to reveal the price and availability details.
