Xiaomi Redmi 4, Redmi 4A gets official

Xiaomi has officially announced Redmi 4 along with its two variants, Redmi 4 Pro and Redmi 4A. All three are reasonably priced budget smartphones with impressive specs that will be currently limited to China market, but looking at the popularity of Redmi series in India, we can expect these smartphones to launch in the country in the near future.

All these Redmi smartphones come with, metal body 5-inch display, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, hybrid dual-SIM trays, 4G VoLTE support and run MIUI 8 on top of Android Marshmallow.

Individually, the Redmi 4A features 1280 x 720 pixels screen and is powered by Snapdragon 425 chip with Adreno 530 GPU and includes 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and 3120mAh battery. This model does not have a fingerprint scanner and will be available in Gold and Rose Gold colors.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 also has a 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) screen, but is powered by  Snapdragon 430 chip aided by Adreno 505 GPU and 2GB RAM. Storage capacity on-board is 16GB and the battery under the hood has a capacity of 4100mAh. It includes a fingerprint scanner at the back and will be available in Gold, Silver and Dark Gray colors

The Redmi 4 Pro is variant of Redmi 4 with double RAM and storage. It features a higher 1920 x 1080 pixels screen (Full HD), octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, fingerprint scanner and 4100mAh battery.

Price & Availability
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Pro have been priced at CNY 699 (approx. Rs. 6,900) and CNY 899 (approx. Rs. 8,880) and will go on sale in China starting November 7, while Redmi 4A has been priced at CNY 499 (approx. Rs. 5,000) and will go on sale in China from November 11.
