Xiaomi to announce Redmi 4 on November 4
Xiaomi last week unveiled the flagship Mi Note 2 along with the edgeless Mi MIX, which received a lot of praise for its impressive design, specs and reasonable price tag. Now the company is back where its strength is, the mid-range segment with the Redmi series.
The Chinese smartphone maker has announced that it will launch the successor of Redmi 3, the Redmi 4 in its home market of China on November 4. The company also posted a teaser on Weibo to confirm the same.
The teaser also shows the Redmi 4 smartphone flaunting metal frame and 2.5D curved glass on top of the screen. The specs of Redmi 4 are no mystery as it has been part of couple of leaks. It will feature metal unibody design with fingerprint scanner on the back, 5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 13MP/5MP camera, 4000mAh battery and will run Android Marshmallow based MIUI 8.
The company is also expected to unveil the toned down variant of Redmi 4 called Redmi 4A, which will be exclusive to China's carrier China Telecom. It will reportedly have 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 425 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 8MP/5MP cameras, 3030mAh battery, fingerprint scanner and also run Android Marshmallow based MIUI 8.
We should know all the official details related to specs, pricing on availability on Thursday, November 4.
