Cherry Mobile One G1 Is Also Getting The Nougat 7.1.1 Update Now

Just a few hours back, we had reported that the General Mobile 4G is getting the Android 7.1.1 update. Multiple users have now told us that the Cherry Mobile G1 is now getting the update as well.

Cherry Mobile G1 is another Android One device which has specifications similar to the General Mobile 4G. The 240MB update also packs in the December 5, 2016 security patch as well.

Both the updates of General Mobile 4G and that of Cherry Mobile One G1 have the same build numbers, NMF26F. The model number in the above screenshot H220 refers to the Cheery Mobile One G1.

We had checked both the Android Security Bulletin and Google's Android git, but both the December security patch as well as the AOSP sources of Nougat 7.1.1 are yet to be released. We will keep you posted of the follow-up developments.
