Four Nokia-branded smartphones will reportedly launch during Q2 and Q3 2017
HMD Global, the new home of Nokia devices has already confirmed that the company will out the first batch of Nokia-branded Android devices in the first half of 2017. The company already launched its first handset, which a feature phone called Nokia 150.
Now a report coming out of Taiwan citing industry sources suggest that HMD Global will launch its first Nokia-branded smartphone (most likely the D1C) at MWC 2017 in February next year, followed by four more smartphones during Q2 and Q3 of 2017.
The four new models will sport display sizes ranging from 5- to 5.5-inches with Full HD or Quad HD resolution. The display panels will be supplied by LG Display, Century Technology and Innolux, and FIH Mobile will be manufacturing the devices.
The report also reveals some of details of Nokia D1C. It is said to be available in two version depending on RAM and display size. The lower end model will cost $150 (Rs. 10,000) and will feature 5-inch Full HD display and 2GB RAM, while the high end model will cost $200 (Rs. 13,500) and come with 5.5-inch Full HD display and 3GB RAM.
According to rumors, Nokia D1C will pack Snapdragon 430 processor, 32GB internal storage, 16MP or 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera and run Android 7.0 Nougat.
