Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge To Get Stable Nougat Update In January, Beta Program Ends Tonight
Beta Program has and continues to be really popular this season with every other OEM trying it in the form of soak tests or simply beta updates. Today, Samsung has pushed a notice to those who enrolled themselves in the beta program for the Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge devices and confirmed that it is ending midnight tonight while adding that final and stable Nougat build is due for January.
Samsung started this program in the second week of November and 5 beta updates followed. Now, with this notice it is clear that there will be no more beta releases and the next release will be official final Nougat build for S7 & S7 Edge. Earlier this month, Samsung had also confirmed that the final build will be Nougat 7.1.1, which we covered too. Although, the beta program was based on Nougat 7.0 but, certainly the final build should be 7.1.1
The Korean giant thanked the community and said that they will be considering all the opinions and suggestions shared by the users till now, for the final build. With Beta program ending, Samsung says that they will now be active with the community only and won't be offering individual feedback. Now, it's all about how quickly Samsung will offer this update as they haven't provided any time frame or nearest date for the same, hopes are high that it should be rolling out in Mid January.
