[Halted] Big Problem With OxygenOS 3.5.5 for OnePlus 2, Don't Install If You Haven't
Just when OnePlus 2 users had a reason to rejoice with VoLTE support enabled for their devices with 3.5.5 iteration of OxygenOS, big problem emerged and is troubling the users who updated it, hard time! We would like to recall the post from yesterday informing about the update and changelogs.
The update was a big one weighing 1.2GB and included the much awaited VoLTE support for the device. At first, the community was all happy and excited to see the update but as soon as it got installed for various users, Network Drop issue appeared and irritated users which became a headache. Forget about the VoLTE support, users weren't even able to get the network for both the sims so, calling this update a big failure will not be wrong.
The community forum for the same got flooded with disappointed users' comments and some of them tried to bring in some suggestions through which the problem could be solved but at some cost, either by switching off the second sim or by resetting the device but this works as a lucky draw because very rare amount of users were able to get the network fixed by doing so.
Well, if you have got the WiFi connection then you're okay as WiFi is working fine with the update and the interesting part, as long as WiFi is enabled in the device, cellular networks are stable (strange isn't it?). Good news here is that the company is already on the fixing hunt and will be pushing the fixed update soon, so wait for it. We can't really deny the efforts done by the company as they kept the promise by pushing the update under the announced timeline, yes a faulty one but it is now halted and the problem will be fixed soon.
