Huawei Announces List Of Phones Which Will Be Updated To Nougat

After LG, HTC and Sony, Huawei is also getting into the Android Nougat mood. The company has announced list of smartphones that will receive Android Nougat.

The Huawei Mate 8 and P9 will be the first two smartphones to receive Nougat and will be followed by P9 Plus, P9 lite, Nova and Nova Plus.

The Nougat update will arrive with Huawei's EMUI 5.0 and is expected to be pushed sometime in Q1 2017 to these smartphones, however, the exact date is not known. There is no word whether older smartphones like Huawei P8, Mate S, and mid-range smartphones will get Nougat or not.

It's worth mentioning that Android Nougat based EMUI 5.0 already runs on Huawei's Mate 9 line-up (Mate 9, Mate 9 Porsche Design, Mate 9 Pro)
