Lenovo launches Moto M in India, will get Nougat update soon
India's leading online smartphone brand Lenovo has launched the Moto M in India. The new phone is a mid-range device and will be available exclusively from Flipkart on mid night of December 14.
It comes with two RAM/Storage variants - 3GB/32GB priced at Rs. 15,999 and 4GB/64GB priced at Rs. 17,999.
The Moto M has a metal unibody design and water and dust resistant body with rounded edges and antenna bands on the top and bottom. And there's a fingerprint scanner located at the back, instead of the front square shaped sensor found on Moto Z and Moto G4 Plus.
It features 1920 x 1080 pixels 5.5-inch display, MediaTek Helio P15 octa-core processor and hybrid-dual-SIM slot. The main camera is a 16MP unit, while selfies and video calling will be handled by 8MP front camera. The phone has a 3050mAh battery. It runs Android Marshmallow and Moto has confirmed that Nougat update will be out soon.
The price and specifications puts the Moto M between the affordable Moto G line up and the innovative high-end Moto Z flagship.
As usual Lenovo has announced launch offers as well for Moto M buyers. The company is offering Rs. 1,000 discount on Citibank and Rs. 2,000 off on exchange of an old smartphone. In addition, you can get the Moto Pulse 2 at a discounted price of Rs. 499.
