Unlocked HTC One M9 gets Android Nougat

Just weeks after rolling out Nougat to HTC 10, HTC has started rolling out Android's latest flavor to last year's flagship One M9. The update is rolling out to unlocked variants only,  while carrier version will get Nougat starting early 2017. 

Nougat will bring new features like improved notification bar, Night Mode, Multi-windows mode and more. It will also include bug fixes and system enhancements along with latest Android security patch.

Apart from HTC 10 and One M9, HTC has also confirmed that One A9 will also get updated to Nougat. However, there is no word when the update will be available. As mentioned earlier, the carrier variants of these phone will get Nougat in early 2017.
