Android 7.1.1 factory and OTA image out for Nexus 6

As promised, Google's Motorola Nexus 6 smartphone is finally getting Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The update was released for several Nexus, Pixel and Android devices last month, but Nexus 6 was left out. Recently Sony also started testing it as well

The update is yet to be rolled out over-the-air, but Nexus 6 owners can download the factory images and OTA images (built N6F26Q) from Google's Developer website and flash it manually.

Android 7.1.1 Nougat include bug fixes, updated emojis and new features like circular icons, GIF keyboard support  and app shortcuts  (Google's take on Apple's Force Touch). The update also brings January's Android security patch which was rolled out to Pixel and Nexus devices a few days back.
